To our early authors: 200 more credits, on the house
Anyone who has written long-form knows the block is rarely about lacking ideas. It is about not knowing which move to make next. OpenNovel exists to spread out the possibilities at exactly that moment, so you can see the structure, pick a direction, and keep the pen in your hand.
To thank the authors who are helping us shape this early on, we are adding 200 credits to every registered account, in one pass.
Who gets it
If you registered and verified your email before this drop, the credits land automatically. No claim form, no request, no support ticket.
If you signed up later and missed this one, do not worry—new accounts still receive a sign-up grant, and we will run similar giveaways from time to time.
What credits are for
Credits cover every AI-assisted action in OpenNovel:
- Story settings generation: expand a one-line pitch into genre, cast, world, and ending tone.
- Skeleton picks: choose a branch and freeze it as a rewindable path node.
- Chapter body generation: stream a chapter grounded by the skeleton beat and the previous handoff.
- Selection rewrite: select a passage and have the AI rewrite it to your instruction.
- Super / Master modes: batch-card the skeleton, lay out the whole-book skeleton at once, or batch-generate several chapters.
Writing by hand costs nothing—only actions where you ask the AI to step in are billed.
How to check your balance
After signing in, the workspace top bar shows your current credits. Every AI call is logged with its cost, and you can review the ledger in your account page.
How this drop works
To keep the grant traceable and auditable, this bonus is recorded in the credit ledger under the fixed key bonus:2026-07-bonus. That means:
- Each user receives this bonus exactly once, even if we run the job again.
- You can see the credit and its reason in your own ledger.
- The admin side keeps a bulk-grant audit entry with granted and skipped counts.
What is next
Take that novel that has been stuck for six months and push it one chapter forward. The skeleton is already there, waiting for you to pick the next beat.
If something gets in your way, or you wish we supported a specific workflow, write to support@opennovel.dev. We read every message.
